In Detail

Everything You Need To Know

Routine Check-Ups

The foundation of good oral health

Regular check-ups are the simplest way to keep your teeth and gums healthy for the long term. During your visit, our dentists carefully examine your teeth, gums and soft tissues, looking for early signs of decay, gum disease or other concerns before they become bigger problems.

We take time to talk you through what we find, explain any treatment options in plain English, and answer any questions you have — whether you're a nervous first-time visitor or a long-standing patient. Bringing the whole family in for regular check-ups is one of the easiest ways to protect everyone's smiles for years to come.

Hygiene Appointments

Professional cleaning & prevention

Hygiene treatments remove plaque and calculus that everyday brushing can't reach, helping to maintain healthy gums and prevent decay. Our air polishing service gently lifts surface stains, dramatically improving the appearance and freshness of your smile.

Just as importantly, our hygiene team works with you to build a bespoke, effective home-care routine — covering brushing technique, flossing and any extra tools that suit your specific needs — so the benefits of your visit last well beyond the appointment itself.

Periodontal Treatment

Protecting the foundations of your smile

Periodontal (gum) disease is a bacterial infection affecting the gums, bone and fibres that support your teeth. Left untreated, it can loosen and even cause teeth to fall out, and has been linked to wider health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

Common causes include a build-up of plaque, tobacco use, certain medications and hormonal changes. Watch out for warning signs such as:

  • Gums that bleed easily when brushing or flossing
  • Red, swollen or tender gums
  • Persistent bad breath

If you notice any of these symptoms, book an appointment promptly — early treatment gives the best chance of reversing gum disease and protecting your teeth.

Restorative Dentistry

Fillings that repair & blend in naturally

When part of a tooth is lost to wear, erosion, decay or a chip or crack, a filling restores the tooth's shape, strength and function. The affected area is carefully removed and replaced with a strong, durable material matched closely to your natural tooth colour.

We offer a range of filling materials, each with its own strengths, and will talk you through the best option for your particular tooth, budget and aesthetic preference.

Root Canal

Saving teeth, relieving pain

Root canal treatment is often needed when deep decay, gum disease or trauma has caused infection inside a tooth. The aim is to save and restore the natural tooth wherever possible, removing the infected nerve tissue and sealing the tooth to prevent further infection.

Many people worry that root canal treatment will be painful — in reality, it's performed under local anaesthetic and is designed to relieve pain, not cause it. Our team takes extra care to keep the whole process as comfortable as possible.

Oral Surgery

Extractions & replacement planning

We always aim to save your natural teeth wherever possible. However, in cases of extensive decay, infection, fracture or advanced gum disease, removing a tooth or root can be the best option for your long-term oral health. Every extraction is carried out with care, ensuring a swift and as comfortable as possible experience.

If a tooth needs to be removed, we'll talk you through replacement options such as implants, bridges or dentures, so you can make an informed choice about restoring your smile.

Crowns & Veneers

Strength and beauty, custom-made

Crown and veneer treatments strengthen a tooth or improve its appearance. A crown covers the whole tooth for extra strength and protection, while a veneer covers just the visible surface, ideal for disguising stains, cracks, chips or misshapen teeth.

For teeth that need more support than a filling but don't require a full crown, we can also use inlays (which sit inside the tooth) or onlays (which rebuild one or more edges of the tooth). These treatments usually take two visits, allowing us to accurately design and fit your custom-made restoration.

Bridges

Bridging the gap left by missing teeth

A bridge is a set of prosthetic teeth designed to fill the gap left by one or more missing teeth, usually supported by the healthy, natural teeth either side. Each bridge is custom-made to match the colour and shape of your existing teeth for a seamless result.

Beyond restoring your smile, bridges help protect your oral health by reducing the risk of surrounding teeth shifting out of position and preventing the facial changes that can occur when teeth are left missing.

Dentures

Comfortable, natural-looking replacements

Dentures are used to replace multiple missing teeth, or in some cases a full arch. Because comfort and a natural appearance both matter, the process typically takes place over several appointments to ensure your removable plate or framework fits securely and looks great.

Our team will guide you through every stage — from initial impressions and fittings through to final adjustments — so your new dentures feel as close to natural teeth as possible.

Dental Implants

The next best thing to natural teeth

Dental implants are one of the most effective ways to replace missing or badly damaged teeth, suitable for patients of most ages. A small titanium fixture is placed securely into the jawbone, providing a stable foundation for a replacement tooth that looks, feels and functions almost exactly like the real thing.

Because implants are anchored directly into the bone, many patients find they regain confidence in eating, speaking and smiling that other tooth-replacement options can't quite match.

Mouthguards

Custom protection, day or night

We offer a range of mouthguards custom-designed and made to precisely fit your mouth, combining protection with everyday comfort. These are commonly worn at night to protect against teeth grinding (bruxism), or during contact sports such as rugby, hockey and martial arts.

A properly fitted mouthguard is far more comfortable — and far more effective — than an off-the-shelf alternative, and can help prevent costly dental damage down the line.
